Hotel Casa Chips is located in the small, beachside town of Barra de Navidad 64 kms north of Manzanilla, Colima, 168 km south of Puerto Vallarta and 62 kms southwest of Guadalajara, Jalisco.
Barra is part of the 60 mile, scenic Costa Alegre (Cheerful Coast) Ecological Zone that winds along the picturesque Pacific coast from Puerto Vallarta south to Manzanillo.
Once you arrive in Mexico, Hotel Casa Chips is easy to reach by bus, taxi or car rental.
Downtown Barra is quite small. Everything is within walking distance. If you arrive by bus, the hotel is a short 5-10 minute walk.
If you`re driving, continue along the road into town and you`ll see Hotel Casa Chips on the right.
If you reach the sandbar you`ve gone too far. Ask the locals to direct you back to Chips – everyone knows where it is.

GETTING HERE:
PLANE: The most direct route to Barra de Navidad is to fly into Manzanillo. Upon arrival, rent a car or take a short, 30-minute taxi ride from Manzanillo’s Playa de Oro International Airport. (Taxi fare approximately $30 U.S.)
BUS: Flecha Amarilla and Primera Plus travel between Puerto Vallarta and Barra de Navidad several times daily. ETN travels between Guadalajara and Barra de Navidad about 10 times daily. Primera Plus does also, at lower rates, but much less frequently (about 4 times daily). The 4 ½ hour bus trip is a great way to see the countryside. TAXI: There is a taxi stand in front of Hotel Casa Chips, and the bus stations all have taxi service available. Rates vary, Ask the driver what he will charge to take you to a destination before you leave.
NOTE: Parallel and diagonal self-parking (no valet parking) is available on the street in front of the hotel. Please be reminded that parking is limited during holiday seasons, i.e. Christmas, Easter & July
