Casa las Palmas is a two-bedroom, two bathroom vacation home rental in Barra de Navidad, now managed by Hotel Casa Chips. This cozy, quaint house is nestled in the residential neighborhood (“Fraccionamiento”) of Bara de Navidad where many Americans and Canadians have vacation homes. The house is at 71 Calle San Lucas, just ten minutes away from the center of town and three blocks from the Hotel Cabo Blanco. It is across the street from Casa Holistica, a well-known therapeutic retreat in Barra. Casa Las Palmas provides a perfect location to kick back with affordable weekly and monthly rates.

Accommodations

As you pass the gate into the house, you enter the living room area, where there is a futon that can also be used as a bed for extra guests. The living room has a wall-mounted TV with cable service and an entertainment area. Just off the living room, there is a bedroom with a queen-size bed, full closet, dresser and TV. This room is also equipped with an air conditioner and ceiling fan. Next to this bedroom is a full bathroom. Both the bedroom and the bathroom have windows that open to the back outdoor patio area.

The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and dinnerware needed for a family of four. There are also two ceiling fans in the kitchen to keep the area cool, especially in the summer. There is also a window in the kitchen that opens onto the back patio area. Separating the kitchen and dining area is a large tile counter, where you can easily prepare and serve food. Potable water is provided.

The dining area is located next to the kitchen near a large window with a view of the garden. It as a traditional Mexican equipale table with four comfortable leather chairs. Above this table is a ceiling fan with additional lighting.

The area behind the kitchen leads outside to the patio. Here there are patio umbrellas and chairs with gas and charcoal barbecues. Adjoining the patio is a large master bedroom with a spacious bathroom. AT the far end of the patio there is a locked storage room where bicycles are kept and guests belongings can be secured.

From the patio area, the large master bedroom with full bathroom can be reached. This bedroom has a king-sized bed, air conditioning and a ceiling fan. There is plenty of closet space as well as a security box to store your valuables. The large, full bathroom can be reached from inside the bedroom or the outside patio, allowing guests to be able to reach the bathroom directly from the patio when they are coming back from the beach.

The outdoor patio is private and provides an area to enjoy eating or relaxing outside. This area has two tables with umbrellas as well as additional seating for guests to enjoy food and entertainment. For our guests who enjoy grilling outdoors, we have supplied gas and charcoal grills for your use. There are lounge chairs as well for sunbathing.

Guests can enjoy the use of the house bicycles to pedal the short distance to the center of town where there are many restaurants and shops in Barra. Another favorite activity is to take the ponga water taxi from Barra to any one of the quaint seafood restaurants on the lagoon. On the ocean side of Barra you will find a wide assortment of local bars and restaurants.
